A far more
civilized way
to get from Asia's most diverse city, Bangkok
to the international resort island of Phuket in either direction...! |

The
finger-like strip of land know as the "Isthmus of Kra" is the narrowest place on
Earth between two oceans; the Pacific and
the Indian. At one point
Thailand narrows to only 11km in width.
Virtually the entire coastline is white
sandy beach and a large proportion of that is pristine, protected
National Park. Inland, the plantations run right up to
the mountainous border with Myanmar (Burma) and the
easy-going pace of life is typically local Thai. Overnight
stops in relaxed surroundings, far from the more
traditional tourist spots make this journey one of our
most popular!
"We've done this journey three times now and it's wonderfully different each time...!"

Numerous National Parks, the Burmese border, Thailand's
narrowest point, deserted
