-Golf on Phuket Island
Phuket Island, Thailand's
largest, lies off the South-Western coast of Thailand in the
Andaman Sea, an area of the Indian Ocean. Only a decade ago, the
island was still a quiet, fairly undiscovered place that is now the most visited destination outside of Bangkok.
The golf here is of truly
international standard with courses like the Blue Canyon having
hosted major European and Asian tour events like the Johnnie
Walker Classic and the Honda Asian Classic, along with first-class
resort's such as the Sheraton and Banyan Tree. However, be
prepared to pay those international prices too, a holiday on
Phuket is certainly not cheap when compared to the rest of the
country,...!
Having said that, the island
really does have "something-for-everyone", from deserted beaches
at the north of the island, to the bustling day's and nights on
Patong Beach and the Sino-Portuguese architecture in the
capital, Phuket Town.
