| -Golf in Pattaya
Pattaya became a popular sea-side
resort back in the 1960's as a recreation area for the G.I.'s
during the Vietnam war. Today it is a bustling metropolis along
a sandy bay. There are many non-golfing, tourist
attractions including a Ripley's believe it or not! and an
excellent zoo, to name just a few.
The golf is also very good,
boasting courses constructed by many of the world's top
designers and prices remain some of the most attractive out of
all the golfing destinations in Thailand.
A mere 2 hours drive from
Bangkok, Pattaya is well worth adding to your holiday itinerary,
especially for those who are on a smaller budget as compared to
Phuket Island and, indeed Hua Hin.
Oh, and the nightlife is pretty
hectic too! Aside from "Walking Street" at the south end of
Pattaya, the many small side-streets offer a dizzy choice of
entertainment to suit virtually anyone's choice!
